Newport Marina

Boats in the Newport Marina - The Ricky Davis Gallery

Way back in 2000, I got to visit the Oregon Coast for the first time. My wife and I had just gotten married and one of the places we got to visit and actually spend a little time in was Newport, Oregon. We were visiting her family in the area, but we took a couple of days to explore the coast a little bit.

Newport was such an interesting small town, especially with me being from Tennessee. It was this small coastal town and then we made our way into the harbor area where there were a lot of fishing boats. It was just a really memorable experience and every time we visit out there, we try to go back.

The last time we got to visit was in 2015, and we spent some time exploring the marina area. I’ve always loved this photo because of the weathered ships and reflections. It’s just such a beautiful spot.
